Vision of the Community

Created by the community at the Arts Visioning Session on October 3, 2012

The Arts Visioning session brought together 120 people from across Fuquay-Varina. The session was held at the Methodist Church. Community leaders and residents talked about their hopes for our community. Their vision is captured in the following paragraph.

We walk to the new arts and conference center from our lovely dinner downtown and marvel at the building’s facade that reflects the rich heritage of our great town. The venue is bustling all day long with a variety of programs and activities for kids and adults and offers flexible space for use by the community. The building is designed for multiple uses and boasts a 600 seat auditorium for high quality performances, art exhibits by local artists, and a garden space for quiet reading or creating. The well-appointed commercial kitchens are utilized to cater large events. The building is ideal for business functions such as training events, conferences, and trade shows and is equipped with state of the art technology. The best part is the scalable design of the building that will allow for expansion. It IS the regional hub for culture and commerce where parking is never a problem.
